In 2010 Chief Lou Dekmar said he wanted to work with the faith community. Troup Transformation hosted a meeting for the faith community to meet with Chief Dekmar. At that time he identified 4 issues he wanted the faith community to work on - homelessness, mental health, youth intervention and re-entry. We are working on all 4 of these issues. As a result of this partnership, the Troup County Homeless Coalition was formed; the Troup County Mental Health Court was established and the first court session was held in February, 2013; outreach efforts were made to teens who violated curfew; and CrossOver Ministries met with leaders in the community to develop a ministry for those coming out of jail/prison.
L to R: Chief Lou Dekmar; Diane Colson, Host of You Make the Difference in 2010; Wanda Walker, Founder of Troup Transformation, Inc.; Michelle and Mark Davenport, pastors of City Light Church. Diane interviewed Chief Dekmar at the meeting with the Christian community. Michelle and Mark hosted the meeting.
Randy Nix is our Representative in the Georgia House of Representatives. Randy represents Government on the Troup Transformation Leadership Team. Debbie Larsen, an active member of Troup Transformation Leadership Team was elected President of the Troup County Republican Women.
